Major July Windstorm

These next few photos are from the major windstorm we had in the St. Louis area the 3rd week of July. 500,000 were without power and damage around town was incredible, especially considering this was not a tornado, just straight-line winds. Photos from KSDK.com Posted by Picasa

Two radio towers that were FLATTENED by the storm! I thought this was a pretty amazing picture.

Billboard toppled over

Partial building collapse near one of the downtown bridges. Building was unoccupied, but some of the debris ended up on the highway.

A semi that was blown over by the strong windstorm

Tree down across the road. This was very common sight. 4 weeks later the city is still hauling away tree debris.

This area looks like tornado hit it

Plane flipped over

Large Casino sign across the road

Semi blown over on it's side on an area bridge

McDonald Lake from a hike to Apgar Lookout.

Practical joke on a neighbor in our neighborhood. We had nothing to do it, but this could be awarning for what happens in the suburbs when there is not a curfew on wine consumption once the kids goto bed
